THE MAN OF CHARACTER

WEE A —————, self-sainted wight,
If e'er he won to heaven,
The veriest wretch, though black as pitch,
May rest he'll be forgiven :
With holy pride he cocks his nose,
And talks of honest dealings,
For when our webs are at the close,
He nips off two three shillings.
